Bio
I’m Misti Flowers—artist, author, and builder of Ferdi's Pond. Through Dressed Up Hippy, Echo Fern Designs, and Ferdi’s Pond, I make story-driven art that helps kids (and the kid still inside us) slow down, notice small wonders, and feel brave about learning new things. I’m happiest where ink meets leaves, music hums in the background, and imagination has muddy feet.
Ferdi’s Pond began with a real frog named Stuart—the O.F. (Original Friend) who taught me that tiny steps change everything. From that spark came Ferdi & Friends: characters who model patience, curiosity, and kindness. My goal is simple and stubbornly hopeful: give families beautiful, screen-light tools—stories, printables, and playful prompts—that make learning feel calm, doable, and fun.

Behind Ferdi’s Pond
Ferdi began as a quiet idea: what if a small frog could help kids feel brave, curious, and kind? The pond became a practice in noticing little wonders and growing at our own pace—values I carry into every illustration and story.
