The stream has been so lively these days! The dragonflies dance above the water like tiny acrobats, and the sun sparkles on the ripples as if the stream itself is smiling. I met Fiona at the pond yesterday—she teased me for slipping on a mossy rock, but her laugh made me forget all about the tumble.
Bartholomew perched above us, watching with those wise eyes of his. He didn’t say much, but I could tell he was quietly amused. Bramble lumbered by later with a pawful of berries, reminding us (in his usual rhyming way) that adventures taste better when friends are near.
Sometimes I think about how far I’ve leapt since the day I first hopped from my lily pad. I used to think the stream was the whole world—but now I see it’s just the beginning. My heart feels wide open, ready for more friends, more discoveries, and more leaps.
Maybe tomorrow, I’ll follow the stream farther than ever before. Who knows what I’ll find?
