Today I sat on my favorite smooth rock by the stream and watched the leaves dance.
They weren’t in a hurry. They were just twirling, spinning, and gliding through the air like they had all the time in the world.
One leaf brushed my toe before it landed in the water.
I watched it float away, spinning once, then twice, before the current carried it around the bend.
It made me think about how everything changes, and yet, somehow, it all feels just right.
Bramble says the trees are letting go of what they no longer need.
I like that.
Maybe frogs and friends can do the same. Let go of things that feel too heavy, so new things can grow.
I think tomorrow I’ll write a poem about that.
For now, I’ll just listen to the stream whispering to the wind.
